Need some good opinions please, please look

I own the 09 chicane yellow 370. I can't decide what color to dress up the engine bay in?? Yellow is a really tough color to find stuff in, so I was thinking either:

red
Blue
red and blue

or yellow and just have most items custom painted, but I don't know if the paint will hold up in the heat since it has to be custom ordered to match the car. opinions and or pics are greatly appreciated guys, thank you

i think silver black or gunmetal would be the colors you would shoot for... thats just my personal preference... red and yellow instantly screams mcdonalds to me... i think yellow and blue are so wayy off... yellow accents is nice though... as long as the part you paint arent the block or anything directly dealing with tremendous heat you should be alright... if your thinking of painting ur engine cover that would hold up well... i shot mine with spray paint and it lasted a year with no problems... i color matched it though to SR my color of my z....

Or maybe even some Kevlar pieces may look nice as well if you can find any. I heard that carbonfiberelement.com can do almost anything.

Haha god damn it simota1 you beat me to it

color choice

You should just go to a few car shows and actually see some professional set-up ! 30% Gunn metal/sliver/chrome - 10% yellow(accent color) - 60% black -**this is a good setup** just switch the 30% n 10% Colors** I know you ask about yellow, red, and blue but what about white???? Something to think about..

Here is a pic of my current intakes I am having installed soon, I was just waiting to decide what color to paint them but maybe I will just leave them gunmetal and do the engine cover border in yellow and do the bolts idea.I could also do the battery and cover in gunmetal ect..

great ideas guys thank you, anyone else please chime in

Based on the pics of the engine bay, I would say you could go for Gold as an accent color. Not a super bright gold, but a nice darker (but flaky) gold. It will offset the GM of the intakes.

Something like this, but possibly darker:

Get a set of the Gold Dress up bolts
Get your engine cover's silver area Painted in the gold. (It will resist the heat because it will just be ambient air, it won't be directly near hot parts.
Your strut bar is a toss up... I'd say if you get the main front bar of it PC'd Matte black, and then the bars headed towards the rear in the Gold, it might look good... Or all matte black.

Your theme could be a Matte Black and GM with the Darker Gold as your accent color. It will bring the 'yellow' of the car into the engine bay without being a yellow overload.

Just my :twocents: :tiphat:
