Carbon Fiber Matte Interior NOW GLOSSY

so decided the matte finish on the red Kevlar needed to go and decided to change the finish to a glossy finish. Which do you prefer?
Matte red or glossy red?

Yea the thing about matte, you cant use ANYTHING other than WARM water and a clean rag. With glossy, you can wax it if you want, detail spray doesnt matter.

Matte was very hard when removing finger prints... I dont know how they got there but they werent mine lol

ahh or a ferrari :)

Ive never seen a full interior civic with carbon fiber but have seen Porsche, Audi, Lambo, Ferrari.... but lots of people like the original look. It depends on preference. Some people even get the M3 and have a sunroof instead of the carbon fiber roof. :ugh2:

quagmire87 08-09-2012 03:01 PM

Shiny looks way better!!

864Zbeast 08-09-2012 03:15 PM

Glossy for sure

Kingbaby 08-09-2012 03:17 PM

Griot's SpeedShine works very well for cleaning interiors trims and plastics, actually. :p

anthonyy 08-09-2012 04:24 PM

matte - I like the contrast

ddot196 08-09-2012 05:20 PM

Matte looks way better. More professional looking imo. But it's whatever you want.

CSA0890 08-09-2012 05:29 PM

matte. looks more oe for sure.

Mr&Mrs 08-09-2012 05:34 PM

Without the side by side I would of said glossy, but the matte did look better with the two tone. However im still going with glossy on my new parts, because im not doing as many parts as you or two tone.

ive seen plenty of full carbon COVERED parts in a civic...

do these high end cars you speak of have carbon overlay parts or are they made entirely of carbon fiber?

kenchan 08-10-2012 09:46 AM

the good about gloss is you can always make it matte again with fine sand paper. :icon17:

These are actually wrapped pieces around the OEM plastic. Actually FERRARI does the exact same thing on their steering wheel, as do we but charge 5000 for the wheels :) SAME WITH PORSCHE... since you seem to be more knowledgeable about there parts than me :)

This isnt some double sided tape job THATS OVERLAY. This is hand wrapped carbon fiber with resin and clear coat. :roflpuke2:

cheshirecat 08-10-2012 10:54 AM

I liked the matte. Better fit with the rest of the interior, but the whole thing is great either way.

The Dimer 08-10-2012 11:00 AM

I said it when you originally got your matte back in the day, and I stand by my comment after seeing the new setup. Gloss looks awesome!

A civic has real carbon fiber battery covers and brake covers??

http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...IMG_1556-1.jpg

A civic has a carbon fiber roof too huh.. Ive seen for a fact way more EXOTIC cars and BMW m's with a roof similar to this. But yet, painting a roof black or overlaying it with black vinyl is more acceptable than the supposed civic? lol prove me wrong.

Heres a porsche interior NOT THE FULL CARBON FIBER INTERIOR but just a small package they offer EXACT SAME PROCESS AS OURS. Again this isnt a double sided dash kit you order off ebay... This is real carbon fiber with layers of resin and sanding and clear coat. overlay is so offenses considering vinyl roof, doubled side kits are more common overlays

kenchan 08-10-2012 11:42 AM

^^ that brake handle is :yum:

OMGWTFBBQ 08-10-2012 11:43 AM

Matte. It looked more low key and less in your face.

simota1 08-10-2012 04:18 PM

i think matte and gloss look nice bro!! i love things always shiny so i go with gloss...

on a side not some guy here told me "o hey man nice interior where did you get your overlays? ebay right? how much did it cost? 200 right?"

i was soooooo irritated beyond belief.... i didnt even wanna explain to that retard because he probably woulda said it was a waste of money.....

fuct 08-10-2012 06:03 PM

billet370... you do good work, ill leave it at that.:tiphat:

sillyoldtayo 08-10-2012 06:27 PM

matte finish for the contrast...love it! nice work!

ERZperformance 08-10-2012 06:52 PM

I like the glossy red. The matted finish gave the appearance of old carbon filber

Carbon_z 08-10-2012 09:58 PM

All the opinions are exactly what I thought. Contrast, matte looking like old cf, shiny toys :). I guess it's kind of like changing wheels. You love them but change them sometime. Thanks for the compliments guys. We can wrap anything just remember of its car related or a bathroom sink ;). This isn't some 200 eBay dash kit like my boy simota said, even though his interior is a bit sick right now also ;)

Baer383 08-10-2012 10:48 PM

Matte on the red looks good ,in gloss it's too much.

DLo 08-10-2012 11:24 PM

I really like the matte look, but I am not a fan of mixing the black and red carbon look (gloss or matte). It doesn't look good IMHO based on those pics, but I haven't seen it with the rest of the car and car's interior so I am hoping it pulls everything together. Please update the tread when all complete.

Zrider79 08-11-2012 02:58 PM

beautiful ! i like both glossy and matte.

Carbon_z 08-13-2012 02:04 PM

thanks guys... More parts to come soon ;)

Amuse370z 08-13-2012 03:32 PM

If someone was local, I'd pay them to wrap my roof in carbon fiber, looks way better than an overlay.

Carbon_z 08-14-2012 10:50 AM

you can always ship your car to our shop :) Hey now ive shipped my car several times lol its fun
