AVOID sunshield tints in LA.

They are scam artists, and admitted to not knowing how to correctly do the 370z.

Hamid is a scam, and lazy. They messed my tints up so bad, the cornors started to peel. I went today to get it fixed, he claimed warrantys are not honored on saturday, LOL have you ever heard of such a thing?

They refused to fix it, and said if he does them over he will write on my receipt that it is not covered under a warranty anymore. I had them strip the tint, and return it to its normal state.

I want to also say this, Hamid said they do so many cars a day that he doesn't care about me and my one complaint. Never again bro!

BEWARE he said every Z he has done, has come back with a complaint.

Beware of crooked people. It seems like this tint shop only care's about the Benjamin's $$$$ I will be tinting soon and these Bozo's are not in my list. I have also had nightmare tint job the shop closed due to many complaints.

That's really f'ed up! My tint on the Z carry LIFETIME warranty on parts and labor as long as I own the car. Peeling, fading or anything, they will fix it without a question. I'm very sorry to hear this :(.

had one little bubble and the guy i went to peeled the tint and installed a new one...the labour is where all the money goes to...the tints costs are minimal....yards and yards for not much $$$ !!!

Lol thats silly. No warranties on Saturday, Tuesdays, and Thursdays between 9AM and 2PM. I’m just making fun and over exaggerating.

BUT! I believe there is no warranties on Saturday because they probably have a guy come in on Saturdays that doesn’t come in on other days and they know his work is shotty. Just a theory. It reminds me of comcast. "We will be there betweeeennnnnnn 9AM Tuesday morning annnnnnnnd Friday.... *holding for applause*

that sucks dude.

submit them to ripoffreport.com and if someone does a google search for that company it'll be on the top 10 results. :owned: Also, submit your complaint to the Better Business Bureau.

I put in a complaint to the BBB. I am just shocked that someone can do a tint job wrong, and then try to convince me that its too time consuming to do it right.

My tinit shop won't take coupons on Saturday. It's because they are so busy on Saturdays. These guys have tinted other cars of mine and have always been top notch. I got a tint ticket on one of my other cars and they retinted it for 50 bucks. Sorry that you got such a raw deal.

FWIW, I had a company in SoCal named Sunshield do the tints on mine at the beginning of March - perfect job, continues to be flawless. Go figure.

Ask the local police where they get their police units and personal cars tinted, you can't go wrong!

I like that "ask the local PD idea." Too late for me though, as I just got my tints done.

FWIW, I too went to Sunshield (I went before noticing this thread) and had a pretty good experience. Tints 50% side, 35% rear and clear bra installed. Before they began I mentioned that the 370Z has a tint issue in the bottom corner of the door windows. They cut a rounded corner to help - but the driver side door still started to get messy. I took it back with no appointment, and with no questions asked they did a fix that looks good and seems to work. All smiles, no attitude, no problems at all. The manager said this should work but asked me to come back if there was any other problem with their work at all.

I'll admit, my first choice was Songs (or it Tsongs), but the lady seemed short with me on the phone when I called asking about pricing. And she wouldn't quote anything other than Huperoptik. I know first impressions are not "everything," but it really turned me off and I went to Sunshield instead.
