what is the piece

that is right above the rear foglight called ? i have to get another one cause mine came off somewhere.is this a known problem with these little caps coming off.what are they there for ?

My guess it is a cover for a 2nd rear tow hook, when I removed the rear bumper there was nothing behind it.......... maybe in japan and other places there is a place to screw on the tow hook..

lol.it started when i got on it a tad after getting gas.didnt spin the tires or anything(and i never will) showing out cause this orange older mustang with black racing stripes was talking **** to his buddy about the z lol.he didnt have any mods btw.anyway lulz.

when i pulled up into the wash bay at the gas station.i noticed my license plate light housing had fallen down.wtf ?? so i take it for a spin down the interstate testing out the k&n drop ins,(air hosed all the oil out of them before installation),and post maf tubes.when i got back home is when i noticed the cap missing.seriously ? lmao.oh well if i cant get the new piece to stay in, it will be time to take a different route.
