Turn signals stay illuminated after startup
Noticed 3 days after my purchase that the turn signals on the dash will light up at startup and will remain on for 25-30 seconds. If I hit the turn signal before then they will both go out. Anybody seen this? I don't recall seeing this on the several models I test drove before the purchase.

I believe that this means the car wasn't taken out of delivery mode, in the manual near the back (I don't have mine here at work) there is a procedure that tells you how to turn this mode off.

Take a look here on this thread, on page two there is a picture of the steps to take the car out of storage and transit mode, make sure the extended storage switch is pushed in and follow the instructions to hold down the wiper and turn signal stalks to cancel the BCM transit mode.

Thanks for the info. I'll give it a shot and will report back if it helped.

IMO Nissan is leaving too much in the hands of the dealerships... these people aren't bright enough to properly unpack a new car... storage switches, delivery modes, spring cushions etc.
Cars made it to the showroom for decades without all these things. The consumer ends up being inconvenienced. I'd hate to think how many people that just aren't at all mechanically inclined are driving around for months or years with the cars in one of these prep/delivery modes totally oblivious. |
