I will be submitting final pictures tonight... |
Dang man, thanks for sharing. I was looking to buy the same diffuser this week!
|
I feel for you OP! But its always good to do research as well. For perfect fitment, the original would be the way to go.
I trust the many reviews here on this forum over what an aftermarket company says about their own product. I believe that if you read more reviews, you would have realized that there would be fitment issues, and went with the original! Haha. Sorry if it sounds like I'm bashing Evo-r. I'm a big fan of small business owners, but this is a place where we can promote or sort out good/bad companies. I hope for the best, and that all that pressure on the diffuser won't make it crack down the road or on a speed bump. Good luck! |
UPDATE
I have update the first post with the finished product pictures. Thanks all for your comments support, I hope this may help all those looking for opinions when buying this diffuser. To the date, Evo-R has pretty much let me down as they did not offer me any type of actual help or solution, They did not PM or email me offering a partial refund or discount on other items, which I at least expected... From my point of view they simply said "It should fit like other people's did, and if it doesn't, deal with it". I hope they realize whats wrong with the fitment of their diffuser and other parts and fix it soon, because I was not the first one nor the last one receiving a faulty product. |
Paypal complaint has already been process since begining of this thread, I'll be glad to close the case and give full refund on this. Please ship the item back and I'll be glad to give you discount on any other items. Reason want to return to me, I want to show to our factory if there is a problem with this one. I have checked and fitted all my inventory because of this case. Just want to make sure no one else have this problem. I did not PM or email cuz all our communication is already done here. Let me know what you want to do. I'm here to resolve

My ideal would be if a partial refund or discount in other item of yours could be done. |
NO problem. PM me on what you need. I'm here to help.
|
Im sorry for your problems OP, but I do have to say hats off to EVO-R for staying in contact that we could all see through the process.
|
Unfortunately what makes it a bit more noticeable is the painted rear valance... if it was OEM color the fitment issue would blend a lot better. This is obviously not your fault as it should cover the piece but just my 2 cents.

Did u scratch ur bumper in the process of installing it?

My time to chime in.
I also picked up a FRP (non CF) rear diffuser from EVOR and had install issues because the plastic was warped. Needed applied pressure to secure and not even glue/silicon would hold it. So... I had to do the next worst thing, add 2 additional screws just on the side of each exhaust tip (black screws) connecting the diffuser to the bumper. Not noticable because it is black on black but would rather not have drilled 2 holes in my bumper because now i definitely can't take it off. If I did, I will have a bumper with 2 holes and glue jizz all over the back. |
Just wanted to update this thread...
Evo-R and I came to an agreement that he would partially refund me for the poor fitting part. Because of shipping difficulties, and also because the diffuser is almost permanently attached to my rear bumper, I couldn't return it. They also said to test fit all parts before shipping from now on. Lets hope so. After all they were responsible and "solved the issue" with very little hesitation. To all those with poor fitting diffusers, I recommend using windshield urethane silicone rather than double sided tape and more than only 2 screws, but drilling additional holes will be needed. |
I'm like 85% sure they drop ship these parts from the supplier so I'm not sure that is possible. I had a bad led fog from them. They did send me a new one but I am pretty sure they both came from overseas.

My front Carbon Fiber Fangs were off, unlike most who had perfect fitment. So I guess I got a bad one.
Test fitting everything would be ideal, just not sure how that would work out logistically. I used a dremel and shaved mine...fits perfect now :) |

And would recommend that if there are any other members who may have an issue? To Please contact Evo-R since they have shown to have take customers issues seriously and are going to try to see that these types of issue are minimized. Thank You Evo-R for stepping up :tiphat: |
