Q for those with tinted windows (non 370Z too)

Oklahoma allows 35% tinting on the sides and back...

Anyone have that level, have any difficulty seeing at night (actually dawn/dusk hours), for example, changing lanes, 4-way stops, etc.

I'm trying to figure out how much tint I want to go with. I want it dark, but I don't want to run into someone...

I think mines 35% on the side windows, it's not dark enough.........with that said, no visibility problems.

m4a1mustang 06-13-2009 10:18 AM

I have 35% tint... not dark at all.

kannibul 06-13-2009 10:20 AM

Is it "lower the number" the darker it is, as in, that's how much light passes through?

Or is it the other way around - that's how much it blocks?

nogoodname 06-13-2009 10:28 AM

yea, 35% means 35% of light passes through

3-5% is limo tints

This is my Z with 35%. You can see that it's not really that dark. From the inside you can see out totally fine whether it's bright as heck out or dark.

Backing up is when I usually have to roll down the window to see because of my tint.

nogoodname 06-13-2009 11:31 AM

^^ how much tint do you have??

Junior370z 06-13-2009 11:34 AM

Limo all around I'm assuming...

I have 35% on my car. No issues at night. I had 50% on my last car because that is what the great commonwealth demands. :( I hated it.

molamann 06-13-2009 12:21 PM

I have 15% side and back and only time I had to roll down my window to back out was in extreme foggy weathers.

bluzman 06-13-2009 01:33 PM

I've got 35% sides and 20% back - no visibilty issues.
