Question for those with factory bluetooth...

FACTORY bluetooth mics... how well do they work? Are they good at noise cancellation? can people hear you while driving?

They seem to be ok... I have more complaints from my pioneer mic than my factory one.

Have the factory Nav and Bluetooth works great. People seem to hear me just fine.

That's exactly what I am trying to compare... any chance you could use the stock one on the Pioneer?

I think it really depends on the phone, not all are supported. With that being said, everyone tells me my Droid sounds great, but I do have trouble with voice by name dialing.

YMMV

I use my iPhone with both the G37 and the 370Z. I receive calls over it all the time. Once in a while, the G37's system has gives me issues on whether the phone sends through bluetooth or through the phone's regular speaker if I answer from the phone instead of pressing the steering wheel button. However, the 370Z's system has been flawless for me.

I haven't been on the receiving end yet, but no one I've talked to has ever had trouble understanding me, which is more than I can say about some earbud setups I've used in the past.

Never tried voice dialing btw

anyone happen to know if the stock mic could be spliced into the pioneer head unit? It seems to me like the pioneer mic is not very good at noise cancellation...

idk...i always have to raise my voice when on the phone. People always have trouble hearing me and can tell its on speaker. Its a feature I absolutely love, but just wish it were a little more polished.

^^ 100% right

It's not the type of phone. I work for a wireless carrier an I get a new phone every month or so. It's the same with all of them.
