Repairable or replace

Given it was a great day today I decided to wash my Z, unfortunately what I didn't know was that my windshield had a chip and when the water hit it that chip turned into a rather large crack. So my question is, is this repairable or do I need to replace?Attachment 46169Attachment 46170

What the hell, that's strange. Seems so perfectly done. Replace.

Yeah this really sucks. The chip was on the top of the windshield where the black dots are, that's why I didn't see it. I know insurance will cover it if it's repairable, not certain about replace. What a bad way to end a nice day... At least the car is clean I guess.

Replace and don't let anyone talk you into nothing but OEM Nissan glass is has bracket that are glued on for cowl so it sits right when it is in,on top it has 2 plastic dowel pins that actually go into the top pinch weld to set the height and distance from the roof.

NO aftermarket glass comes with this!!!!

Repair or replace, are you kidding? You can't fix a crack like that. That sucks but like the other guys are saying hold out for a new stock wind shield.

Well I called my insurance company and they'll replace my windshield at no cost to me. I guess it's a Kentucky state law that insurance companies have to replace them and waive the deductible. I can honestly say this is the first time living in Kentucky has benefited me.

make sure they use oem glass and verify they dont break the a-pillar finisher. GL with the repairs. :)
