Rear fog light conversion

Hey everyone , installed my evo r rear fog today. When we removed the stock blank fog we were noticing that it's literally the actual fog house down to the lense on the back and it's just missing the hole for the light socket and bulb. My electrical guy said he could easily have drilled out the hole and inserted a socket and bulb and wired it to work. Has anyone else done this? Sure would save some cash if someone could do a DIY on it. Just an idea.

I noticed this as well. The difference is that there is no lens to difuse the light. It wouldn't look as good as a JDM or evo-r. You would see a bright spot in the bottom corner where the bulb is.

That's the problem alright. I didn't think of that. Good thinking! You could always jam some tin foil in there... Just kidding.
