Will an Amuse rear look weird on an otherwise stock car?

I would like to hear your opinions on whether or not the Z will look weird with just the Amuse rear bumper and stock front/sides or Amuse rear and sides with a stock front. I really like the Amuse rear, but am worried it would not look right as the only body kit par ton my Z. Would adding the sideskirts help or would they look to beefy with the stock front?

I personally don't think it would flow.

I wonder if the front would scrape like crazy. The front chin aero deflector underneath scrapes all over the place now. That is a big concern of mine in getting a lip like the Amuse front.

if you're actually worried about scraping, worry about the amuse sides. those are extremely low and scrape more often than the front from what i've seen from a member here with full amuse kit. his front barely scrapes but his side skirts are almost always scraping, even at stock height.

Really, wow. That's a lot of money to spend to have it scrape all over

It is all in how you drive it... I can't fit my foot under my sides in a pair of shoes...but my front is what is beat up. Its not visible until you look under it...but it is there.

Still considering just the rear

So only the underside is scraped up. Any times you were worried about major damage to it? There are some steep driveways around me.

the sides the lowest on the whole kit. and i don't think just the rear bumper would flow correctly with the rest of the car stock. :(

mine cracks almost all the time and my front bumper, then again my car used to be slammed. but at stock height, honestly you shouldn't have a problem or worry about anything. just drive safely over bumps other than that it doesn't hit or scrape at all. as of now I haven't had any problems of scraping or hitting my sides after i raised up my car. hope that helps.

That is helpful, thanks. Anyone have the AMS replica? Wrongdoing how fitment is.

My front rarely scrapes. like everyone says, its the side skirts. Mine are scraped up pretty bad underneath both side skirts, but I do have my car lowered about an inch. Might tweak the coilovers a bit to see if I can keep it from bottoming out too much around the crap streets of San Diego.

I think it actually looks pretty good with just the rear

TerribleONE 04-24-2012 09:54 AM

IMO, yes it will look weird

ZMan8 04-24-2012 09:58 AM

I have seen reaper's car in person, it looks good to me. he also has a stillen lip and Evo-R Spoiler (not shown in the pic), but the rear bumper doesn't look out of place to me.
