B-pillar install question...

Recently mine broke, I have a new one on the way, but the 2 white clips on the bottom side are still on the car. How do they come out? Just pull straight out or what? I don't want to break these things...

That helps a good bit but it doesn't say if those white clips just pull straight out or not... (Not that I saw anyway). Does anyone know if those clips just pull straight out?

USMCASA 04-17-2012 04:17 PM

^yes they do. if you see two exposed holes don't pull out the surrounding white bases. thats where the clip that is on the bpillar clips into. there is 3 spots that hold it in place... not much to hold it on but it does.

Just got a new b pillar and put it on today but its not sitting flush against the car like the passenger side... any idea why? It popped in in 3 different places...

JAYNO20 04-24-2012 12:51 PM

Bump... any ideas?

kenchan 04-24-2012 01:43 PM

i dont know, but can you sandwich 3M trim mounting tape to minimize the gap?

MattP725 04-24-2012 02:07 PM

Remove and remount... it should sit flush... perhaps one of your plastic tabs slipped out of the mount.

Make sure all of your clips are seated properly, not bent/jammed/otherwise messed up.

Lol I'll get some pics, I hope something is holding it up cause its definitely not sitting as tight as the passenger side.

USMCASA 04-24-2012 05:20 PM

^my only thoughts as of now is a possible bad anchor clip, the part that holds the clip from the back of the bpillar to the metal of the car more tightly. might be the reason the original let go to begin with but will need pics to confirm.
