Wire JDM Foglight for headlight AND brake?

Hey fellas,

I'm planning on buying a JDM rear foglight for my car, and I was curious if it was possible to wire the light to turn on when the headlights are on (dim), and go bright when I hit the brake. I'm not sure if it's only possible to do one or the other. Is the bulb a single stage bulb? Or is it a dual stage one like brake lights are?

Get the EVO-R light and you can do that with ease. Straight forward instructions with an optional flashing brake light if you so desire to wire that way.

Ah, I would, but I prefer the look of the JDM one. I feel the grid of leds are cheap-looking. I do know it's a hell of a lot easier to wire it, though. :icon17:

I totally feel you. I wanted to run the oem light the same way but it wouldn't work so far. But if someone can figure it out I would love to set it that way too.

I agree about the LED evo R. Not very nice looking when compared to OEM.

I recently Installed the EVO-R, Color Red. Everyone has their own opinion on which one is better but, IMO #1 The leds seems to do a better match since the brake lights are Leds as well. #2 That JDM Fog is WAY to bright to be running it on Parking lights...

The OEM light just has a positive wire and a negative/ground wire, right? I haven't really looked at it.

Yep. I like the functionality, but I definitely prefer the OEM housing.
