eBay Bulbs?
What are your thoughts on LEDs from eBay? I bought an HID kit for my old car and never had an issue with them. I found these two links:
2X 6000K WHITE T10 921 INTERIOR LIGHT BULBS/BULB SMD 28-LED | eBay 2X SUPER WHITE 921 6000K LED LIGHT BULBS/BULB 1206 SMD 42LED | eBay Which would you get? 28 or 42? |
Bump.
I bought mine from JWMotoring. Lifetime warranty! He is also a forum vendor.
He doesn't offer the backup lights yet he said.
I have been looking for a set myself to help see my back-up camera display better at night. I'm waiting to see what he comes up with first. So far, his bulbs have been really crisp and bright. Not sure what the delay is.
I agree! I just installed a set of his for my license plate and they look great. I'm also going to be purchasing a set of his low beams as well.
Just need to get reverse lights from somewhere. |
I'm running the 8000k lows from him. Really bright and clear with a blue tint. Also running all blue map and hatch led's inside. Everyone comments on the cool way they look.
So you ended up going with 8000k huh? I think that's what I want, but I didn't want to lose too much light.

Yeah no kidding!! Doesn't really look like too much light loss. Do you have parking lights as well? I just installed the 6000k parking lights from vleds. They make the stock low beams look gross. You think 8000k low beams with 6000k parking lights would look good together?
It may wash out the blue effect of the low beam. I was thinking about just putting in the same bulb as the license plate one in the parking lamp. I was going to order it with the back-up lights when they come out.
Any idea when the reverse lights will be out? I may just order the 8000k now and then return them for 6000k if they don't look good.
Just placed my order for the 8000k bulbs!!
If you don't like them, he'll exchange them. You can't really find that type of service very often. Did you inquire on the reverse lights?
I did ask him...haven't received a PM back yet.
I hope it's soon then
Yeah me too!! I think I may upgrade the map lights and trunk light too.
Get the 9 led map light for the hatch too and just trip it to fit. Much better than the 6 LED smaller one that fits in the hatch light.
What do you mean trip it?

Sorry, I meant "trim" you'll need to round off two corners and trim up one side of the board and then pull the tape off the back and cut 2 thin strips to fit down between the rows of LED's and stick it inside the hatch lense face. Heat is not a factor. I've had mine since he first relesed them. No problems.

Oh that's dirt easy!
Hell yeah it is and so much brighter for the little effort.
And it's one board for each map light and one board for the hatch? And you got them for JW?
Yes. I have blue in the hatch, but I think a white one would be more practical back there. I think I will change mine on the next order I make. The colored ones look great up in the map lights though. 18 PLCC-2 LED's puts out some serious light up there.
V-LEDs.com has the reverses. I had them in my g37 and took em out before I traded for my Z. Still got them in the Z and they now have brighter better versions too. Might consider them for the reverses.
But if you don't mind waiting I would see what JW ends up gettin. The 6000K heads I got are great |
Yeah I saw the ones from vleds...I think they're on clearance now; but I would like to see what JW comes out with.
I just ordered some morimito bulbs 5five 6 k
