Plastidip interior

I'm debating wether or not to red or black plastidip the interior of my 40th anni. Aka the door handles center shift piece etc.. Anything that is the gray that doesn't match the car.. Thoughts or opinions?

Paint them or CF them, the Plasti-dip will eventually start to peel off from normal wear.

Cf everywhere just looks bad.. Might try it and see you think red or black being the interior is red and black?

You don't have to use CF Everywhere. You don't have to even use it at all, you could paint them, and then give them a clearcoat as well. Most Automotive painters wouldn't charge more than $150 for all the parts since you're just doing single color + Clear. Thats if you wanted it professionally done, privatly you're looking at paint + supplies.

Hmm I'll look into it thanks.. Should I go red or quartz?

If you have Photoshop, or know of someone that does, you could do some quick renders... Or take some good quality pics and upload them in the Photoshop thread and ask someone to do some renders for you.

I'm the same way, I want the silver pieces gone off my black on black z. :icon17:

I actually prefer to have some silver accents inside the cabin as it gives some much needed contrast to an otherwise dark interior. I find that blacking out everything looks cheaper in my opinion.

I hate Plasti-dip

Please leave leave it out of your 40th's beautiful interior

Thank you waizzz, should I leave it stock or paint it. I just think that the interior looks off set by the gray and dull...would like to do a painted red/black contrast.

I'm definitely not a fan of the faux aluminum look in the interior, but Plast-Dip is not the way to go. Using that stuff reminds me of the things I did to my 1973 Civic when I was in college back in the Dark Ages. :rofl2:

I went with some matte finish carbon fiber trim pieces - window switch plates, shifter trim, and tach hood. Start there, and see how you like it. I'd love to have a set of carbon fiber wrapped door handles, and the gauge pod as well.

Christian makes a great point about contrast though. You don't want the interior looking like a cave. Both he and I have posted shots of our CF interior upgrades so you can at least get an idea of what we are talking about.

Everyone is eager to mod their car and make it more personal, but keep in mind your talking about a $35k - $45k vehicle.

Good luck!
