eBay tow hooks?

Has anyone purchased a colored tow hook on ebay? I bought one from "big.bros" [this one] and it doesn't even remotely fit, even though he clearly says it's for 350z, 370z, and GTR.

Now it's coming back that I have to pay for return shipping. Seems like a scam to me - I checked feedback and another guy said the same thing; that it does not fit. This seems fraudulent to me - do I really have to pay to send this back to him? Am I screwed into sucking up the $39 or paying for shipping to China?

Can anyone recommend a tow hook for <$50 that will actually fit? A lot of auctions looks like the exact same tow hook, so I don't want to risk it. The only one I saw that was different was [this one] but I'm not sure. Ideas?

Mods, if I shouldn't post to auctions, please let me know.

Ya Def. make a claim on Ebay, and Paypal. It's pretty simple a lot of times people don't realize what you put in the description for items you sell on ebay is set in stone, if you try to stretch the truth you can get screwed. I bought a Eagle Talon one time off ebay for 2550. B/c of the car not running like it was supposed to he had to pay for out of pocket fix and he only made 700 on the car LOL. So ya get with Paypal and Ebay customer service.

The second link is actually the exact tow hook I bought. Ordered and delivered in a week.

I had the barrel PC'd black and the hook PC'd 40th Edition Caliper Red to match my calipers since it's more of a Maroon than a true 'Red'. Still looked okay.

So much better than buying a $250 GTM one... Screw that. It better be made of Unobtanium for that rip off. :ugh2:

(In case people are confused about the link, I bought this one: 2008-2011 INFINITI G37 NISSAN 370Z JDM ALUMINUM SCREW ON TOW HOOK KIT RED | eBay )

Yup, got the same, not from the same seller but came in that exact black box lol. Fits perfect.

You gave me more thoughts to paint mine Chris, when I got mine all I did was add a couple clear coats incase the paint was cheap

File a claim with the resolution center on eBay.

I ended up filing a claim and the ebay seller replied saying that they were sorry they mislabeled the product. They said they were relabling it as they had a few complaints that it doesn't fit. The problem is that the thread diameter on the hook is too small for the Z's tow hook threads. Anyway, they refunded my money and didn't make me pay for return shipping like they originally said they would (thanks eBay!).

I'm going to order the second link and hope it turns out better.

Nice!! I've had refunds from EBAY with zero hassle before!! They definitely live and die by their rating.
