Need a favor (picture of your 370Z)...

Can someone post a really close up shot of where their windshield meets their roofline? There should be a rubber lining around the windshield and I need to see what it looks like. Safelite just installed my windshield, but the lining doesn't look right (it's tucked in a bit). So I need to see if I'm right or not.

Thanks.

Yeah, pretty much. I can't really tell though, is there another smaller rubber strip between the big rubber strip and the roofline, or is it just a gap?

Dang, that's a really specific request and an even faster response with ultra high quality pics. WTF this forum is great. :tiphat: Repped.

IMO, it looks like that's a shadow, not a smaller rubber strip or gap, between the rubber and the roof.

I learned long ago that this forum, and the people on it are pretty damn awesome. :) I come to expect it that this point. :rofl2:

The non-oem windshield that was installed does have another smaller rubber strip, but it looks like it's supposed to be tucked down pretty deep, the gap is only maybe like 10mm at most.

Sure. The main reason I needed a pic was in order to show the shop what it's supposed to look like (if it isn't correct).

Looks like the lining is not as thick as the OEM, did you just have it installed?

Yeah.

Can someone go check their car and let me know if it just looks like my picture? I think it does, after seeing GaleForce's pics.

flashburn 02-14-2012 06:53 PM

Bump. Someone help me out?

kidkotic2001 02-14-2012 07:40 PM

I just took a look at mine and there is about 5mm from the roof line to the molding. I tried to take a pic but my phone was just not cutting it and I could not find my camera.

Damn I am about to get my window replaced by safelite on sat now I am worried.

GaleForce 02-14-2012 07:47 PM

It's just the one piece of rubber. The rubber is very close to being flush with the glass and the glass and rubber is a few millimetres below the metal roof.
