I will surely take you up on that :). Also, did you get those side skirt things off yet? Depending on how far underneath the car they go I might pick those up from you at the same time :D.

Just trying to see how well these overlays (front, back, roof) will hold up in the humid/hot/rainy weather here in SC. I'll be driving my Z (when I get it) as a DD and I don't have enough room in my garage to store my car during the night either. If I go this route, am I going to have to replace them every 6 months? If so, I'll just get the areas painted

Okay, just noticed you are also in SC. I'm in Greenville and haven't really looked into a place to do these overlays for me. Have you already found a good place in SC?

I haven't looked into it to be honest. I am still waiting to get my Z so I have really just been checking out all the options out there that I like and trying to figure out the direction I want to take.

Curious to see this on the blue in black or yellow.... the silver edging definately makes the black on the red car....

Which rear valance is made of better quality: VIP or bluebatmobile?

Who the heck would know that? Only a handful have done this at all, and likely no one has used both. Your local sign shop can supply you with the material or you can buy it from these guys. Matte black Vinyl is not rocket science, especially when from reputable manufacturers like 3M..

Even the unpainted plastic looks good...

I just don't get how VIP's stuff is about $145 & BlueBat's stuff is $42, why the big price difference? Modshack, your car looks great, did u paint your rear valance?

kenchan 09-15-2009 11:21 AM

where do you buy the bat stuff?

NewYorkJon34 09-15-2009 11:27 AM

Thanks...Unfortunately I got hit in the rear necessitating a new bumper. In it's natural state it is a satin black plastic just as you see it. I had them mask it off and NOT paint it...

Did the same up front:

Oh now I get it, I had one of my side skirts replaced, but never knew it comes in black before it's painted. That's def pretty smart. Hey, why is VIP's stuff $100 more then BlueBat's stuff?

You'll have to ask them, but you can buy raw vinyl for $43 for 10 yards.....Enough to do 7-14 cars....

Got it! Thanks..Had to recalculate how many cars you could do for $43...Looks like 14 for $3 each!

NewYorkJon34 09-15-2009 08:29 PM

Does the VIP rear valance come in 2 pieces or it just a big vinyl sheet that you have to cut?
