Bad clearshield?

Am I being a perfectionist or is clearshield not supposed to look like this? I have issues with what I think are jagged edges and the hood line being different from the side panel lines. Please offer advice, thanks. What if I want it removed? (payed 700)

Dude that looks terrible... You can't even see it on my car it's all even and all the cuts are clean... Also I payed350$ it's one year old , and it's still as transparent as day 1 . Yours already looks like its yellowing . In short.. You got f****d. Get your cash back

Yeah, it's definitely not supposed to look like that.
The edge of the clear bra (despite how much I hate them) should line up on the hood and the fenders.

clearbra

Thats a terrible job. I have a UltraVentureshield clearbra. The installer is very very important. Did you get it done at the dealer?

kenchan 01-06-2012 12:42 PM

wow... that is terrible.

did they use lube at all when they bent you over????

sorry dude, but you definately need to go back. Most places warranty their work, hopefully yours does. GL!!!!

Holy crap

kenchan 01-06-2012 01:06 PM

that ragged line is caused by inexperienced freehanded scissors cutting.

Crap! that looks really bad. I'm out of town so can't send pics of mine but I agree with everyone else's comments. It should be even with the edges of the body panels. That looks like someone had 10 cups of coffee and decided to open up a clear bra business! Get your money back bro.

Junmode 01-06-2012 01:37 PM

Thanks for the honest opinions everyone. Contacted the vendor and will be back tomorrow to have it removed. This was not what I envisioned when I invested in clear shield.

kenchan 01-06-2012 02:03 PM

yah, it should literally be invisible from like 3ft away. :)

If you are going to have it redone properly, something to consider is having a full wrap done. I had the entire hood and front fenders wrapped. No lines at all. It definitely costs more, but if you can afford it, it's worth it.

That looks like total S**T!! get your money back! I got Xpel clear bra for the whole front clip, mirrors, a pillars and roof for about $1100.00. Its supposedly the best out right now in that it doesnt yellow and stick to the paint.. Its pre cut from a computer and i had them roll the edges so you cant see the lines. Its very professionally done and i am very satisfied.
