Fiberglass Chipped EVO-R side blade
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...oitjl/asdf.jpg
I cant figure out how to enlarge this picture. Every picture i take with my HTC EVO and upload it to photobucket it comes out small..and when i try to resize it on photobucket it becomes blurry :-( SORRY for the small picture guys! But anyways I just recieved in my FRP EVO-R side blades...PACKAGING was GOOD no signs of damages and fully bubble wraped. BUT the corner of the driver side skirt is chipped. I already emailed the vendor of the issue...waiting for response..Is this expensive to get fixed? Also if a chip like this if i dont get this fix will it get worse? Its the part thats hidden under the car so nobody can see it..BUT i prefer to get it fixed just worried on $$. Sending it back and then getting it back would take forever...not sure what to do here. Any suggestions? Thanks Jason |
damn bro thats a huge pic lol im just kidding... honestly bro thats a minor thing... i would however ask the vendor for at least some of your money back or like a discount on another part you would like to purchase.... i cant really tell from your pic but as long as its just a chip a lil bondo and 2k primer would fix it right up... the only time you would worry is if its a crack or hairline crack because that would spread.... so dont sweat it man... i think if you ship it back youll pay more than to have it repaired just my 2 cents bro

O and to add about the quality on this... i bottomed out HARD when i had this on my z.... didnt even crack a lil  they are still one of my most favorite mods for side skirts only reason why i switched... it rains here alot on guam and these babys pick up dirt faster than a shovel.... so i opted to switch to the amuse replicas sides

Thanks for the advice! Its a chip..their some white lines on top i think those are scratches..but not sure..or hairline cracks? Im not sure i cant tell. This is my first time ever buying something thats fiberglass. I really dont want the hassle to ship it back and WAIT again for it to come back...if this is fixable myself or fairly cheap to take it to a bodyshop to fix i would rather do that... |

No damage at all to the box...and the wrapping was great! I love these side skirts too! ill look tonight to see if any cracks on the back..hopefully not! But either way i cant put them on till i fix my oem side skirts. I got to figure out how to take the skirts off to get the scrapes/scratches from a curb buffed out and repainted. When i figure that out maybe i can have the same guy do my side blades the same time. Hopefully it wont cost much! |
Have it fixed at a shop its not worth all the problems sending it back!
|
Hey guys they just called me! They gave me a few options...return it and they send me another one...but that be awhile. or Go to a bodyshop get a quote and they will pay for it!...Going to the bodyshop tomorrow. This is great news thanks everyone for the help!

no problem bud

Have fun getting a response from evo-r. When it comes to taking your money theyre quick but when somethings wrong youll never get a response
|
Hmmm I can't really see what the damage looks like.
If it's going to get painted anyway it might just be easier for you to get a partial refund and have your bodyshop fix it instead. |
I would think a straight exchange is fair. Send it back for a new one.
|
Actually i bought this through z1 store they were really good getting back to me! I dropped it off at a body shop..$60 is what they quoted me to fix so i just had the shop do it and z1 already refunded me $60. I would do business with them again!

yes they are bro... ive done business with them before and they respond fast!!! :D
