Question about headlight paint...

2 Attachment(s)
I am having some body work done on my CY 370z and the body shop replaced one headlight, but just bought the stock one. I believe the previous owner blacked out the headlights. It looks like it was painted. The body shop says that they don't know how to do it because they normally won't break the seal on the headlight.

So my question is how should they proceed? Do they break the seal or is there another way? Also is there an aftermarket headlight that is blacked out?

I replyed to your other thread so you should close one of them.

looks as if the previous owner had either done the bake and paint himself or he sent it off to either mrworks (which I believe is out of business) or he sent them to 180customs. There is no version of the headlights being blacked out they were done after the fact.

Hi thanks for the info! I'm new to the forum and haven't figured everything out yet. How do you close a thread?

Yeah I'm thinking you might be out of luck, most body shops won't risk opening the headlights because there are too many issues like leaking seals and broken mounting tabs that could occur. Best bet is to do it yourself or at one of the mentioned companies above.

Thanks, I think you're probably right

At the top of the page you have a tab called thread tools in there you can choose to delete a thread or close it. I would delete one.

All I see under thread tools is
1.Show Printable Version
2. Email Page
3. Subscribe to thread
4. Add a poll to thread

I will definitely delete one as soon as I can figure it out. Maybe I don't have that option because I am a base member....idk

I think that may be the case.
