Help!!!! Push start button issue!!! Help!!!

I'm in need of any info anyone has one the push start button. I accidentally unhooked mine in the wrong way while messing with my stereo and now the button has no tension/ ability to start the car. Does anyone know if there is a small spring or something that may have fallen out and I didn't notice it?

Any constructive input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

how did you take it out?

I unlatched it at the point where the small circuit board with the lights on it was exposed rather than just the small white plug in part. I put it all back together, but now the button is, for lack of better words, limp.

And i just ordered my GTR button a few minutes ago. It should be here next week sometime. Unfortunately I still have to get to work on Monday

You should have removed the big leather cover (the cubby hole area or nav)then pulled it out a little and unplugged the airbag sensor on the right and the ignition on the left then remove the whole leather assembly.

If you did it another way you may have broke the switch in which case you would have to replace it.

Wish I'd known this earlier today. I found my old button in a drawer that I could have sent to you.

can you open it up and show him wat the spring inside looks like so he can see wat he's looking for? :)

What was the point in taking it apart and not just disconnecting the plug?

Wish I could help Sorry

You may have gotten a piece in upside down. It doesn't have a metal spring. It is this rubbery piece. The nibs should go towards the button (up) and line up with the round dots on the back of the button.

If by chance I can't find it, is there a way to start the car without the push button?

Yank the wires out from under the dash and scrape two of them together. C'mon man. Don't you watch the movies. :roflpuke2:
