lol... tree sap with branch marks. wow... almost looks like it's suppose to be there. :icon17: it's probably under the clear now and will need to repaint if they can't polish it out.

I doubt tree sap and branches. This car was in the showroom and there are no trees near the dealership which makes no sense. Many others have had this defect now that I'm reading in the forum. Apparently only way is a repaint.:shakes head: This is extremely frustrating.

yikes.....

I have that defect but its extremely mild by comparison. Its just one 4 inch line on the rear panel. Not as noticeable as yours either. Its really annoying that they can't pull nice paint jobs out when they aren't even producing that many Z's, yet they are using such high quality paints for our cars. Quality paint and sh1tty paint job doesn't match. Lol. I made my dealership aware of the defect. But I probably won't pursue it. It just pisses me off that a factory mistake will end up on a carfax like I did something wrong. But if I was in your situation. I'd fix it, because unlike my defect, yours is huge and extremely noticeable.

I don't know what to do here have it fixed or try to make them give me a new car or reimbursed money(hey it's a long shot). Can't this be a Lemon as a factory paint defect that can't be corrected other than having it painted?

kenchan 11-08-2011 06:20 PM

btw, is that hood unlatched? i noticed the parting line is not straight either in that pict.

I think lemon laws require you to have the car in for the same problem multiple times. I would just go after the dealership to get it repainted or see if they will let you exchange cars (that's a long shot though).

LakeShow 11-08-2011 06:23 PM

No the hood isn't unlatched. Maybe it's the picture?

Just spoke to Corporate, they said all they can do is offer to repaint. Idk what to do. It's a brand new car.
