that is good work! i like the 3 hats and the tach wrap.... did you remove them before wrapping?
...i like your trim wrap too and your shifter wrap... wait, that's everything. :icon17: hahaha GJ! |
Good work
|
Excellent! Link to where you purchased the wrap?
|
Great job! I love it! I think I like the shifter and trim mods the most!
Looks like I am going to have to get some of this stuff. |

Very nice. Good job!!

Looks Great!!!
ive been having a hard time wrapping anything with that stuff. It seem brittle but im probably doing something wrong. Wish i had the skills to wrap some interior pieces! |
Outstanding job!
I'm going to play with mine this weekend. I think the hardest part of the process is gaining enough confidence to disassemble the interior pieces. I'm confident I can get the center stack fascia covered, I'm just gun shy taking it all apart. |

I just picked-up a new heat gun from Home Depot last week, so I think I'm good to go - famous last words. |
Looks good!

Really nice!
|
fatalsports- did you have to use any adhesion promotor on the hats? :)

Very impressive.
Does anyone know if the bezels around the gauges just pop off? |
how would you go about wrapping around corners? is it that pliable when heated? ie. door handle
|
Looks very good

Thanks for the vid although he never really showed how to do the hats on the gauges.....

All I've ever heard about the hats are that they break when you take them off. Easy to put back with double sided tape. The other gauges faces are part of a plate that spans the tach. I doubt if anyone is going to have success wrapping that - too many complex curves. If you look closely at the OP's shifter ring, it looks like part of the Di-Noc is not settled - it's pulled-up. That's another tough one to wrap. Apologies if that isn't the case OP. I purchased the CF covers for the tach, door switches and tops of the gauges from CarbonSignal in the matte finish. So far, I haven't seen any installed pictures of the matte finish, but I'm anxious to see how it looks. WHen I get the pieces installed, I'll post some pictures. I may start trying to wrap some of the HVAC/radio/nav faceplates this weekend with the Di-Noc. |
I just realized something...You took these photos while driving!

Kenchan: didnt you wrap your door pieces? did you wrap the vinyl around the plates? I tried this a few months ago and it looked like sh!t. I was considering doing it again but just cutting at the end of the plate, if that makes any sense?

Looking good. I've exhaust my supply of dinoc, so I'll have to order another roll.
