Something is wrong with my Z.
Got it washed today. Now here is the problem. brake lights and side markers come on in about a min when I leave my car. The car is off and the lights turns on by itself. My light switch is on the off position also. So I went to reset the battery to fix the problem. Now it causes more problems. The light still comes on in about a min. and my driver door window will open a crack bit when I open my door. Its suppose to prop back up when fully on up position. But it doesn't. When my window is fully down. The one click up will not prop the window back up. I have to hold the button up to fully close the window. I disconnected the battery and now my car is in the garage unlocked. WTF Nissan. Anyone has problems like this before? And if you do what can I do to fix it? Other than sending it back to Nissan.

Not sure about your light problem but when you disconnected the battery the windows need to be reset for the auto functions to start working again.
Start the car up and hold & press window button down for 15 seconds and then up for 15 seconds.... window reset done. |
Try the window reset to fix the windows issue but I don't know what would be causing your lights to come on with your light switch in the off position.
WINDOWS NOT WORKING PROPERLY AFTER INSTALL If the windows do not close automatically If the power window automatic function (closing only) does not operate properly, perform the following procedure to initialize the power window system. 1. Push the ignition switch to the ON position. 2. Close the door. 3. Open the window completely by operating the power window switch. 4. Pull the power window switch and hold it to close the window, and then hold the switch more than 3 seconds after the window is closed completely. 5. Release the power window switch. Operate the window by the automatic function to confirm the initialization is complete. 6. Perform steps 2 through 5 above for other windows. |
Thanks for the window operation. My back lights blink a few times lightly before it is fully on. Oh man I hate electrical problems.

What type of wash place was this?
|
it was only a hand wash. I didnt put it in the machine.

So I found the problem. The Relay box and switch was wet. It finally dried out and the lights are in normal operations. But I had to uninstall my aftermarket intake. The G2 stillen Intake makes you relocate the relay box underneath the airbox cone. But I still dont get how it got all wet. This is pretty bad.
