AMS body kit (amuse style)

So I found this AMS rear bumper which looks liek a rpelica of the Amuse Vestito bumper. I love the Amuse, but it's too pricey for me. Does anyone know if the AMS copy is good quality build and fit?

brucelidat 08-23-2011 01:08 AM

here is a link to it:

If it's made by VIS, it's probably a piece of ****.

Just save up your money and buy authentic parts instead of this knock-off crap.

docaam 08-23-2011 03:39 AM

Shineauto's replica quality is good which Carbonsignal is selling here

Not sure about VIS though?

Nick911sc 08-23-2011 03:11 PM

Would love to know if this was good quality.

VIS 370Z Full AMS Body Kit

phelan 08-23-2011 03:14 PM

VIS. What you save in kit cost, you make up for in fitment and body shop cost.

I would say support the true manufacturers in Japan when at all possible. However, I will not deny that both CS and UAM have very popular CF Amuse kits available here on the forums.

Nick911sc 08-23-2011 03:17 PM

I'm curious, what is the actual cost of the amuse kit? Not MSRP

Jamaica 08-23-2011 03:20 PM

Vis made a copy from a replica.

This is correct, VIS made their replica from a replica.

What does that mean? There's no MSRP for Amuse, the parts are imported from Japan and most Japanese companies don't choose US dollar MSRPs.

Scone 12-17-2011 01:15 PM

Its going to be about 5k if you have a shop order it.

VIS 370Z Full AMS Body Kit

I also wanted this kit but after talking to them on the phone the price was $400 more than their web site, and I live within driving distance.

WTF:icon14:

Xsad 12-26-2011 12:45 AM

Just don't get it.
I have the front bumper and the fittment is horrible.
It cracks easily.

eastwest2300 12-26-2011 01:27 AM

Dude, this Body kit is sick!!!

haitech 12-26-2011 03:28 AM

yeah it's pretty sexy

Zee370Zman 11-16-2014 10:56 AM

For all of you saying if it's made by VIS, it's not. AMS is it's own company. All you had to do was do a Google search. It's not like you have to go outside and cut wood in the snow or build a house. Just move your finger to the tab and create a new tab and do a search. AMS GT body kit for the 370Z is made from duraflex. If you don't know what it is, then I suggest you go find out. Secondly, it's not made from a copy of a copy. Thirdly, this body kit has got good reviews and has a good fitment. Fourthly, I don't work for AMS, it just pisses me off when people start talking about a completely different company when all they had to do was research it. People are getting lazier and stupider as time goes on I feel.

It's not all that bad people....

I agree.

I also get pissed off when people answer threads from four years ago. Don't you just hate that?

Who gives a rat's *** how long ago it was? This is the first time I came across it and the fact that people didn't do any research at all and instead just jumped on a bandwagon of, "Oh, IF this is VIS then don't get it, they suck. Etc. etc." The premise is still the same whether it was long ago or now.

I also get pissed off when people answer sarcastically about something that's not relevant. Don't you just hate that?

cooltoy 11-16-2014 03:17 PM

Actually, I don't hate that. I do it all the time.

inf3kted 11-16-2014 06:13 PM

VIS amuse style kit is a copy of a copy...

They don't even have cut outs for the vents and the side skirts are bloody covers... but to answer OPs question = no its not a good copy.

Heres another jab at VIS' copy differences
