What is this button for?

Anyone notice that there is another button to the left of the pad/button to open the trunk? It is a little circular one that doesn't seem to do anything.

Every time I have a friend/stranger try and open my trunk they seem to push this instead of the much larger pad that is centered under the Nissan logo.

I'm too lazy to post pics.

Also doesn't do anything if you don't have the fob near it.

Lock and unlock what, the entire car? That seems kinda pointless

Yes. I use it all of the time.
Scenario: Get home from grocery. Hop out of car. Unload and close trunk. Lock car.
Comes in quite handy.

Ah I see! Thanks. I'm surprised i've never heard it engage the locks. I just thought it was a rubber nub for a long time.

On a side note, I LOVE keyless entry. It's these little things Nissan does that goes to show you they are a step ahead of everyone and that they are truly passionate about cars and catering to the driver. The Z cockpit is by far superior to other performance cars in our range: EVO, Sti, Camaro, Mustang... It just feels purpose built and fits like a glove :)
