Rear two hook, request images

Hello everyone,

Companies, like Speedventures, requires a vehicle to have front and rear two hooks available before tracking.

I know where's the front two hook, but after searching online, I can't be clear on what would be the rear two hook?

Can anyone post images as to where is the rear two hook? I saw the following link:

http://www.the370z.com/exterior-inte...available.html

That shows "This hook works on all oem bumpers, front or rear!" Is this true and how would the rear be hooked up?

That company is no longer a forum sponsor, sadly before I could pick one of those up. :( I don't really wanna cheap out and get the ebay one, but I don't think $250 for the GTM one is fair either...

As for rear tow hook, I believe there is a point in the back under the bumper? At least that's where they strap it down for dyno runs when I go...

There is no rear tow hook but as you mentioned a tie down point. Check the owners manual pages I posted below for more info.

Chris, having held the eBay hook and their in my hand at the same time, I think they are the same hook.:ugh2:

OP
If you want a rear toe point, you gotta fab it up yourself. Just another place Nissan dropped the ball

This is my guess Red, I just dunno if I wanna trust 'random ebay vendor' to give me a decent product... I don't think I'd actually use it for Dyno runs... :ugh2:

It's not like a tow hook needs to be anything special. I'll send you a link to the one I had...came in the same box and everything. Pretty sure it comes from the same factory over in china or wherever.

Yeah, I'd like one with a red Eye black barrel if that's what you have? If so, I'll order one this weekend.

Eric, this is something that Cheston Chu did to his 350z, and his is setup is strictly for the track.

Although he had to alter his rear bumper..

this would be used as a emergency use only on a track and not as a tow strap down...

i'll post some picts when i get home but most rear tow hooks are a custom job...
