Bullitt stated above that you guys were making one. I was naturally interested.

Yes were making two. One should be out next week.

If one of them is the GTR style hood I hate you guys, I just ordered one from Seibon last week.

Nice work.

Agree on making center carbon... and gurney flap.

If you want to sell to racers, you'll need to post the aero data on it... downforce as a function of angle and air speed. What is cord length? What wing shape / cross-section did you use, and why? etc.

Look forward to seeing it mounted.

I don't think real hardcore racers are the target market for this. There's the group that buys it for looks, there's the weekend warrior that is still concerned with how his track car looks, and then there's the guy who cares more about function than form. I think this product caters only to the first two groups, the third group is the only one that would care about aero data and if you care about aero data you're going to end up with a real wing anyway. Just my opinion.

Agreed!we aren't looking to compete with companies like APR for a fully track prepped wing. This is to give guys a functional motorized rear wing while still looking good. We will be looking to get the most out of the wing design as well. It will perform well and look good.

Lemers 08-11-2011 01:44 PM

Will that work with the predrilled holes of the sport spoiler?

travisjb 08-11-2011 01:45 PM

I figured as much, actually... appreciate you calling out who this wing is intended for - that was the reason for my comment... and regardless of your intended customer, I still think it'd be helpful for you to publish estimated download force at different speeds (just assume an angle of attack)

bullitt5897 08-11-2011 02:01 PM

We still have to finish the wing so we can do some R&D and make sure that our motors which raise and lower the wing will be able to hold the down force created by the wing at different AoA's

Thanks Travis I wanted to touch on this subject just a little further down the road when we were testing the wing ;)

M.Bonanni 08-11-2011 02:08 PM

Are you going to offer a non-motorized version as well? The motorized version is considered active aero, which is illegal for pretty much every grassroots race series except the unlimited classes of time attack.

bullitt5897 08-11-2011 02:11 PM

Yes we will be providing a non motorized version with multiple AoA's for the varying track usages.
