Plasti-Dip as a Clear Bra Alternative?

It seems like Plasti-Dip is really catching on, and for good reason. It's easy to work with, durable, and removable.

Has anyone considered using this stuff as a clear bra? Even if it doesn't work as well it's ~$5 a can vs. ~$500 to have a clear bra installed.

Plasti-Dip is black though, so that isn't much like a clear bra at all... its more comparable to a normal car bra maybe.

if you want a flat finish the clear might work. It actually might be a great alternative to a full wrap.

It is going to be a major pain to make sure that everything you DON'T want to spray is masked off completely. But I guess it could work, given that it is short term since it gets slightly harder to remove as it gets older.

It's not that durable and will peel off used on the front.
You will have an obvious line between it and the paint.
You can't use it near/on the hood because of heat concerns.
