Help! with wire harness in headllight

Okay I need some help. I'm painting my lights but I'm stuck. How do you remove the part of the harness from the light? and I accidentally bent and cracked the little grey wire thing that's parallel to the hid bulb..does that mean I need to replace the bulb?

Nevermind guys. I figured it out, but does anyone know about the hid bulb?
