Real CF Wrap
Has anyone had any experience with this? I wanted to wrap the top of my G37 with it, but only if its worth it:
Carbon Fiber Starter Kit | Carbon Fiber Gear |
doesn't look hard. just takes awhile to have a finished product!
from the video it looked good |
looks cool!
|
the resin stinks like hell and is a gooey messy time consuming project. :D
but it can be done. personally i would not want to ever do that again on my own. much easier (and healthier) to buy a finished product. |
Looks like a good project for a long weekend (long curing times).
|
Yeah probably take some time to do it but the results are outstanding if you do it right.

Ive been wrapping parts for years...Done 100s of jobs for people on here and other forums...But just did my first roof last week on our 370...took about a week.
Heres a pic of it all finished... Its wrapped with 2x2 twill cf and finished with a couple coats of clear. http://i329.photobucket.com/albums/l...6-18-17_89.jpg |
And just from doing it myself, I wouldn't buy that kit.
|
Carbon, I wish you were here in Cali... cuz honestly, I want it done. But screw doing it myself lol. I'll pay someone (with experience) to do it haha
|
Yea...Its a lot longer than a you-tube video lol that's for sure.
Ive got the roof wrapped along with the interior. We do a fairly decent job and time is something you must have. check out this link and let us know what you think :) http://www.the370z.com/exterior-inte...-interior.html |
Gorgeous work, I'm extremely envious. Wish you guys were closer :shakes head:. Any idea of a company that does just as well in Cali?
|
truthfully we have no carbon fiber referrals out in cali... You could always ship your car to us ;) just a thought
