christian370z 07-28-2011 11:55 AM

Carbon fiber looks soooo good on platinum graphite, love it.

mbenetto 07-28-2011 07:17 PM

It was sooo easy to install.... 3M tape... thank you for the compliments. I agree... Carbon Fiber looks sick on the Platinum Graphite...

dudesky 07-28-2011 11:48 PM

wait so you don't have to drill it???

The upper cf is pretty stiff and straight, but the part of the bumper that it adheres to is a consistent curve. Did you have any problems with it staying stuck at the edges? Any gap? I'm having that issue with mine.

mbenetto 07-29-2011 06:36 AM

So far, so good. It's only been on for a few days though. I bought 3m bonding agent that u put on the tape. It's pretty solid... No gaps.

I just ordered the same piece for my Gun Mettalic.

Is there a specific name for the 3M bonding agent? I assume you can pick it up at Home Depot or Lowes?

Thanks!

i also just received this today from the z store. super fast shipping. i got the email last night saying it would ship with 24 hours, and it was on my doorstep today when i got home from work.

also interested in the bonding agent. i guess on top of the above question about the part number, where did you buy it at? local place or did you have to order?

thanks!

A Evo-R type 2 chin would be perfect for your next project. Nicely done.

Just installed it and its pulling apart on one side.

Will be trying the 3M VHB bonding tape. Anybody tried it?

If poping up. Use heat gun or blow dryer. Heat the poping up area. Hold down for few minutes. Or tape it down. It should hold for good.
