Removing spare tyre and keeping the sub.

any ideas on removing the spare tyre and still keeping the sub in place?

MBLAQ 08-10-2011 01:18 AM

anyone?

No problem with that. In Europe cars come without spare tire. Can post pics, how it looks without spare, if you want.

yes pics please. I tried taking the spare out but the sub does not sit properly in the boot

afternoon will post them. Guess, that you want to see bolt and surround (not sure if is there, or different to spare part equipped models)?

Hope, that these pics will help. Under sub is small plastic surround (on last pic is separate). Guess, that could be replaced by anything with similar height and sound resonance free. :stirthepot:

Hate to bring up this old thread but anyone have a part number on that black plastic thing that holds up the sub?

I used.... A pool noodle.

Cut to size then use a piece of string through the inside of the noodle to tie it into a circle. Perfect size and supports the sub well.

We 3D printed a carbon mount to place the sub on. Works perfect
