Nissan LED DRL

So how many of you have you seen this? Nissan has LED DRL's as an accessory addon. Just noticed it now when I went to customize a Z (gonna get another one soon) on the nissan website. I can't find any user pics of it, or even a write up on them. They are 800.00 so kinda (really) pricey. Anyone have picture of it on their Z or can say how bright they are?

Here are a few different threads with the same question, which contain answers and a few pics too.

Personally, I don't like them. They look disconnected and don't flow very well....looks aftermarket-ish.

Thats what I was afraid of. Thanks for the links. +1 my friend. Looking at em on RHoods Z, I cant say I like em... Thats a shame... I think nissan partnered up with pepboys on this one if I'm not mistaken...

I agree, and I think I read in another thread that they wont fit on the nismo. Honestly they don't seem like they belong. Maybe nissan will try to make some better ones, or incorporate it into the next Z... but for this one... nah

yah, good call!

ive been wanting driving lights too on my car, but im not a landing-strip kinda guy nor the audi wannabie tear drop look. i want a simple small lamp that would illuminate somewhere low.

i might stick a lamp in the opening in my Ings splitter. :D

There might be an OEM or aftermarket module you can get so that your lights will go on automatically when the parking brake is released. In Canada, DRL are mandatory, and that operates through the headlights. I know some will argue, well that'll decrease the life of the headlights, but this mandatory requirement has been around for at least 25 years, and there hasn't been any reports of more frequent headlight replacement.

Still trying to figure out how they justify $800 for $25 in parts and $10 worth of styling. Seriously?
