I'd love to do something similar.
Except use a smaller tablet (7"? that fits in the cubby?)
I installed an iSimple iPod gateway a while ago, and I'd like to run the audio through that.
Not sure what I want to do about power though.
Sorry, I can't help with the 3D scan.

Zombie bump to find out what became of this. Has anyone made something for this yet??

You're going to run into the issue of power. Youd probably be the only one with this blackberry install considering only about 12 people have this tablet  . Does anyone have a tablet cubby install with the power capability yet?

Edit: just realized this thread was from 2 years ago haha

Ok so i worked on this over the weekend and made a mold backing for the ipad and blended it into the cubby hole frame and all.. anyway here's the pictures of the finished product, i also managed to put the charger in so i can slide the ipad in from the side and have it charge.. Very tight space for the charger but i managed it.

Took a weekend of work. first time working with fiberglass and all this crap but if you take your time its possible and not too hard if you have a grinder, dremel, and sander and some time and ingenuity.
