What do you guys think of this? Anyone have issues with their license plate being stolen haha :dunno:

phelan 07-06-2011 04:09 PM

Looks like a pain in the ***.

XwChriswX 07-06-2011 04:09 PM

Will these fit Domestic plate mounts?

Is the price ridiculous because they look silly enough to be worth it...

YamahaR6 07-06-2011 04:24 PM

How much? How much?

Apoc370z 07-06-2011 04:30 PM

I seriously dont think this will stop anyone that really wanna steal your license plate. Not worth the money.

Ok, I was expecting somewhere in the $50-75 range so yeah, not bad... Shipping from Japan or from FL?

True, it wouldn't stop people from stealing cause now all they would need is a couple of pens to steal your tags, but agreed, the uniqueness of it is what's intriguing. It's one of things that would just make you  :rofl2: when you see it... I like that. :icon17:

It happens a lot in places where people don't register their cars... instead of doing that, they just take someone elses tags and put it on their car. Cops don't really pay attention to remembering letterings, they just look for the current years registration sticker.

fuct 07-06-2011 04:51 PM

oh we have registration and sh!t on the inside of our windows. you guys are back woods. hahaha

TypeOne 07-06-2011 04:56 PM

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!

That is awesome and ridiculous all in the same.

Ok, wrong thread but it's on my mind right now and I don't wanna forget.

GT-R Shift knobs. Can you get them for the 7AT folks? And not the Domestic spec ones, I'm talking JDM spec so the gear locations on the handle match the ones on our tranny. Can you get those?

ND370z 07-06-2011 10:03 PM

interesting...

yes, ive heard of this happening to tons of people. i actually just bought a set of license plate bolts at autozone for a few bucks. they use an allen wrench with a special center indentation to prevent regular allen keys from being used. i figured itd be good enough to stop 99% of thieves.

yea I'm not sure why people bother stealing license plates... if you get pulled over with a license plate thats not yours you'd be screwed

I like them just for the looks alone.

They look stainless, but are they for sure?

I mean they look like they are made out of solid stainless steel. But just because they look that way doesn't mean they are. I can't read the Japanese on the package. Are they in fact solid stainless?

Also, do they fit the Z? Different cars use different sized bolts/screws/threads. Has anyone actually tried them on a Z?

Gotta go, I'll check in tomorrow.......

Cheers ---- Bonzo

370Z JT 07-07-2011 05:15 PM

Any other colors offered by project kics?

yup they're stainless steel :)

as for fitment, they're suppose to fit most japanese cars so I don't think the Z34 will be the only exception haha

I'm debating it, but with everything that's going on right now in my life, I can't make any purchases of car parts. :(

Thanks, its nothing major, just stupidity amongst those who are appointed over you, and the abuse of power to punish you for not being like them.

djbab00 12-10-2013 09:31 AM

So...I just had my plates stolen from downtown Houston. Registration sticker is placed inside windscreen. but it wasnt too much hassel to get new plates.

Texas has specialty plates, I might invest in these bolts upon new plate purchase.

Unfortunately they do not make these anymore :/

There was not enough interest (sales) on these items!!
