Nismo S-Tune Side Skirts on a Regular Z

Before I bought these, I tried to find someone else who has the same side skirts to see what they look like on a regular 370Z, but I couldn't find any :( so here's some pics for reference.

I chose to get these particular ones because they come factory painted and the fit is excellent.

Looks pretty good. They're understated enough so they don't overpower everything else.
I always thought the sides looked a little naked anyway.
I saw from another thread that you're in Louisville. I live in Clarksville and work in Louisville.

Where'd you buy the skirts?

RCZ 06-08-2011 10:24 PM

yeah, where? I kinda want a set.

Looks nice

Z1 got them. Im debating between these and the OEM nismo side skirts myself.

I have the full S-tune kit.. minus the spoiler. Bought it from Z1 early last year..

Comes pre painted and fit is 100% right on..

NISMO side skirts installation questions

Hi Prochobo,

Were the side skirts difficult to install? Did you have to use any double-sided tape?

What tools did you use for the installation?

Thank you in advance for your response.

P.S. The pre-paint matching is right on time!

What is the visual difference between the S-tune and nismo side skirts? They look the same to me...

^ going from the front, the Nismo is flush to body whereas the S-Tune sticks out.

not a fan of the S tune at all

Heh, I'm in Louisville and the office I work at is in New Albany, but I'm not there much since I'm a consultant. I've only seen a handful around Louisville that I always give the  to.

Sorry for the late response; haven't been keeping up with this thread. But the install is extremely easy. I got these from Z1 and they include all mounting hardware which is just a bunch of plastic clips and stuff.

Yes, you have to use double sided adhesive where the side skirt is inside of the door. Check Z1's website; they have the full installation manual. It's as easy as unscrewing a few bolts on the bottom, popping the plastic clips off the stock ones, then popping the new side skirts on. They give you extra plastic hardware in case you break the plastic pieces when taking off the stock ones and believe me, you will break some off lol. As for tools, I just used a socket wrench and a screw driver to pop off some plastic clips. Total install time for both sides would be about an hour and a half. It took me a little longer since I had to remove mud guards. And boy, did those mud guards work. I get crap all over my fenders now :(
