Sup guys,

I have gotten my headlights blacked out,

sorry for the low quality picture, it was raining outside and there was a sunset. I could have waited for better time to take picture,
but I wanted to show this to you guys.

no, its not an overlays.

The headlights were taken apart, and all the chrome parts were painted black.

LOL, does mine looks like an sticker overlay?

M.Bonanni 04-21-2009 11:34 PM

Just for comparisons sake.

Yours look better but I'm assuming a lot more $$ involved?

Yes, the damage to my bank account wasn't light, however, I guess you get what you pay for, No?
;)

arcticreaver 04-22-2009 09:18 AM

second_2_nun 04-22-2009 11:19 AM

hot damn!

RCZ 04-22-2009 11:46 AM

actually looks pretty good. Nice job.

par4bmw 04-22-2009 12:29 PM

Very Nice!!!!

When the painted ones appeared on the blue Z, I posted that I though they would look killer on PG and be a must mod for me. After seeing yours, it is confirmed a must have.

Have you thought of doing the rears? Only a little bit of chrome but it the price was right I would consider it as well. Then if a good looking Nissan emblem could be found the car would be chrome free leaving PG / aluminum.

Love the look and thanks for posting.

I never considered rear, but now you mentioned it, I might think about doing it..lol

I will post up better pictures soon, the pictures doesnt really hit you as hard as in real life. The car looks so much more aggresive and better in real life!!

On the way back after that mod, this guy in the traffic light told me he thought my car was Austin Martin!!, And I told him, "nah man, you cant compare this car to Austin Martin.....................my car is better "

I am curious as to why you chose to paint the inner housing black versus color-match the body color?

I never liked same color of headlight housing to the body color. My plan is to black out the bottom fang area, and maybe black front hood, as long as I think it not overly done.

But, this is just my opinion.

DJcuetip 04-22-2009 03:46 PM

looking good.. glad i saw this because i am taking apart my headlights this friday.. i had a few questions..

i noticed that you kept the rings stock silver color.. i also have PG and i was wondering if they match well because I was going to try to find a similar spray paint like Medium grey Metal like the one posted here. http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...fog-light.html

... what do yyou think?

I think they match pretty good as is. However, If you want to match that to the body color, you can paint it PG.

Here is another picture of the front end...(sorry for crappy pictures, As you can see, I am not photographer, I am just an auditor..lol)

I have taken my car to the local store that specializes on tuning Z and G cars. Therefore, I don't know the technical details on the procedures...

If it was done with care and quality job, there should be no moisture forming up inside.

So far, after many days of rainy days/humid days, no moisture for me...;)

DIGItonium 05-02-2009 06:06 PM

Very nice! It's not as dramatic as I thought. I'm waiting to get some sort of satin black or smoked look.
