Stillen Bodykit Feedback

Hey Guys,

I was wondering what you guys thought about this body kit:

STILLEN : STILLEN 370Z Body Kits & Aero Components

Thanks!

If you do a search you should be able to find a lot of info on the Stillen kits. A lot of people have had trouble with fitment/quality, so your body shop might be in for a lot of work if Stillen hasn't addressed these issues yet.

Also, the front bump comes with the peaces near the eyes removed. Your body shop will have to bondo and blend those parts to make it look like a one peace bumper you see in the stillen photos. Makes installation more expensive.

I love the looks just wish those peaces weren't separate.

Just saw one in person (Kielbasa16's), and it looked very nice, however like others have said you need to find a good body shop to make it look right.

Thanks Econ. I can only speak to the quality of the bumper. I was warned by a few people that have tried it to stay away from the bumper, but Stillen assured me that the issues with fitment had been resolved. Its my favorite bumper out there so I bit the bullet. As has been said, the two corner pieces right up by the headlights come as seperate pieces which is annoying, but my body shop did a great job making it unnoticeable. I am keeping a close eye on that area to see if the paint develops any hairline cracks, but so far so good. The only spots where the fitment is a little off is right under the headlights (theres a tiny gap). On my black Z I can get away with this without noticing it. Also, this bumper is very flexible. Its not as solid as the stock piece, not sure what its made of. Last thing I will say is that I am going to try to avoid removing and reinstalling this bumper unnecessarily. I had to take it off to swap out the mesh grill for a new one and I feel like if I had to do it many more times the fitment would deteriorate, but I may just be being paranoid. Anyway, I love the bumper 100 times more than stock and I love its exclusivity. Heres a picture

Fantastic bumper, second to me only to the Fujimura but they have a similar appearance. Great pics, it looks awesome on your Z.

I think because the car is black, it looks really good... it looks a little to aggressive and body-kit-ish.

I have too heard the horror stories about the Stillen body parts, but from my dealings with their lip... I never had any problems.

Other than it falling off of course. :-/

I think the cost to get it properly prepped and installed is pretty high, and the fitment is usually not that great.

I do think it is a good looking kit, but probably not worth the headache.

Thanks man, I like the Fujimara too but has anybody actually had it installed? Id like to see a good photoshoot with it.

Good bumper but too much of a headache. I had to go back to stillen twice to get mine to fit correctly.

i like it way more than the stillen honestly. i've sometimes pondered swapping out my front bumper for it.

I agree, go for it Phelan! I havent put too many miles on my Stillen yet, but no issues yet (fingers crossed).

Is UAM gonna make a rep of the fujimura bumper anytime soon?

karotZ 06-02-2011 03:59 PM

There's a shop in LA that sells it for $1000+ for the bumper only.
