Just got this prototype in today. Should have them ready for sale in about a month. Looking for comments. What do you think?

I like it. I think it would look better on some colors than others. it would look great on red.

Carbon fiber lip+roof+pillar+mirrors=

I thought this was going to be a TRUE front lip. Rather, it is just a grill overlay... I will pass; still waiting for a good, simple, and clean carbon fiber front lip...

XxJoselitoxX 04-15-2009 05:52 PM

Man that is really going to pop on yellow really good.

azn370z 04-15-2009 05:53 PM

I was expecting a true lip too. I want a simple lip that doesn't stick out much.

how about non-carbon fiber, just plain black lip?

chad520320 04-15-2009 07:01 PM

I know this is my first post on here, but... do people actually think CF looks good??? I mean it's a really small checker board... I understand its use for weight savings, but in my opinion, it looks stupid and if I were to buy a carbon fiber piece, I would without a doubt paint it.

Ditto. It does look good, but not quite finished. I see a clear 'seam' of some sort around the carbon that doesn't look good. Again, if it was a full replacement, definitely would look better. I'm also more of a fan of carbon that doesn't look like carbon (normally under a layer or three of 0.7oz glass) that is more matte finish. I like people to go "is that carbon? Ooh, it IS carbon" rather than "that carbon I can see from a mile away is probably a vinyl."

so if you owned one of these you would paint the carbon fiber, I think it depends on some parts it looks good on other it doesn't

K20A2_S 04-15-2009 09:49 PM

hell to the yes!!

This with blacked out headlights, and some gunmetal rims or powdercoating teh stock ones would look good....throw some eibach to drop it an inch...done deal....

red/black..........white/black......would look good.....heck, even blue/black...

gatorfast 04-15-2009 10:07 PM

Looks great! I was hoping someone would make something like this.

SoCal 370Z 04-15-2009 10:12 PM

I'm just thankful the 370Z aftermarket is still going in today's economy.

Zello370 04-16-2009 04:58 PM

front lip

I love it, it will go well on my yellow 370, what about the area above the lip that hold the plates?

RCZ 04-16-2009 06:11 PM

Why don't u make a cool rear valence/diffuser? The part of the rear bumper that goes around the exhausts is separate from the rest of the bumper. Make a replacement for that which doesnt have the fog light and I'd buy it.

bboypuertoroc 04-16-2009 07:44 PM

^ That's a good idea. A replacement diffuser in CF would look great, especially minus the "fog light".

like this?

Bibimbap 04-16-2009 10:46 PM

I think this along with an extended lip would look hot, especially on white. Will give more contrast in the "mouth" and actually make it look good. Mines Lip painted white with this would look good. I believe this is actually done with the Top Secret Lip for the 350z since it doesn't include a part for the original lip, refer to Leemik's ride on my350z to get an idea of how this would work well.

I guess this is you making yourself feel better about not being able to afford real carbon fiber..... :gtfo2:

wstar 04-17-2009 01:59 PM

I think, if you can afford it and are willing to go that far, that replacing heavy body parts with lightweight CF replacements is awesome. However, most of the CF stuff I have seen on actual cars on the street in houston has been (a) cheap plastic that kinda looks like CF and/or (b) just a cover that slips over existing bodywork, so no weight reduction. I dislike the "just for looks" CF (and CF-look-alike) stuff, it's kinda retarded.

epod86 04-17-2009 02:26 PM

I think this is the best use of carbon fiber.
http://www.free-desktop-wallpaper-do...-22_Raptor.jpg

Not that's weight savings :)

LiquidZ 04-17-2009 02:53 PM

I'm not really feeling it.

370z4Steve 04-17-2009 04:23 PM

price?

Z'sZ 04-17-2009 05:11 PM

armensti 04-18-2009 03:01 AM

before you make a purchase make sure that the item is returnable because a lot of carbon fiber stuff looks like crap up close and in person. just my :twocents:

Dreamin'Z 04-18-2009 03:24 PM

I don't think I like the the carbon fiber but I would love in black with a black roof
