POLL: 370z Panoramic roof

Hey guys,

So it comes to my attention that some of you are interested in a panoramic sunroof mod.

I am willing to work through this and bring this mod to the community if there is enough interest!

This mod will not affect your structural integrity and will be made out of glass or Polycarbonate. Pricing is yet to be determined but I expect it to be in the $1-2k price range...

Please be honest I will only pursue this if there is a great amount of interest.

Mike

Not many would like the idea of cutting in to the roof.

This is only for the hard core owners.

We would have to pop the spot welds on the roof skin... then pull off the roof skin and replace/install with the new glass roof. We would then have to modify the headliner and trim it. Simple in idea...

Very interesting..would love to see it done

I might be interested, but not in a sunroof that opened/closed, just a tinted panoramic roof (or T-tops!)

Sounds awesome and would probably look amazing but I think when it came down to it I'd be too scared to cut a huge hole in the roof and risk possible leaks and any other issue I can't think of.

If I was sticking with the z long term I might be interested.

yea, this is a big reason I don't want go through with the trouble.

The roof will kill trade in value, and I'm really trying to trade my Z in 2013 when the Lotos Elan comes out

I would be interested in doing this, but to be honest it would be the last thing I would do and only if I has some extra money. If it was an option from the factory I would have deff gone for it.

Agreed.

If I still had my Z I would definitely look into it but probably wouldn't do it because of trade in, concerns over leaks, etc. But if it was a factory option and I expected to use my Z primarily as a DD, I'd be all over it!

Interested for sure but it would have to be closer to 1k than 2k for me to pursue immediately.
