tetris anyone?

First off I know this is a crummy way to transport a 26" bike but it is what it is. Yes a rear mount of some sort would be nice, but its not in the funds at the momment.

Second, yes this is safe. the bike has zero movement as its wedged between the rear hatch area and the back of the passenger seat. My head is WAY clear of the handlebars and my vision isnt much more obscured than usual. (nismo spoiler) now if i was in a major side impact accident im sure my head would have a handlebar protruding from it.....

Third, no the interior isnt all scratched up from the bike. unless im lazy and pull it out carelessly (thats what she said)

I kept my old 206000 mile frontier just for that. I can't even imagine stuffing a bike in my Z.

i have a 29er so unfortunatley this won't work for me :(

I'm gonna need to get a truck just to transport my MB around....

fuct 04-25-2011 09:52 AM

yea there is no way a 29" bike would fit. part of the reason i made this thread was to show that its atleast possible to do with a 26"er...

i hate having to remove the front wheel, everytime I do this, the front brakes need to be re-adjusted, or there's the dreaded rotor rub. Arghh

I have a shim/spacer i place in the disc brake between the pads to keep this from happening.
