Details: Base model. Temperature knob can be turned anywhere from ~70 to ~85 and it blows the same temperature air, a neutral 70-ish temp. Only with the temp knob within the last 5 or so clicks of 90*F (the extreme end of the dial) does it start blowing warm air. This is true in both auto and manual fan speed.

Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just my car?

I find this to be true for just about any car. Cars generally are not built to retain cold or heat well, small cabins, surrounded by windows etc. Any car I have been in expensive or cheap you always have to mess with the climate controls to get what you want.

Mornings its been 30s and about 10 mins into my drive to work I have to turn it down to 70, heated seats off or I am roasting.
