Fixing a scratch? :/

Heya,

I know the best fix for the scratch is to take it to a body shop but is there another way to do the job as good as they do it but cheaper?

I am just wondering..

Thank you!

How deep is the scratch? There's some scratch removing cream that you can get from the auto parts store that will take light scratches out (light meaning you can't feel them when you run your finger across them).

Anything deeper and I would recommend a body shop -- there are some scratch kits that are out they, but I wouldn't trust them on my Z. Just my two cents.

Although it is not a Z (not yet!) the scratches are kind of deep (you can feel them with the finger).. Damn the dog!

Before you try to fix it...try to take it to a good detailer. They might be able to add the touch up paint for you, then soften it a bit to make it less noticeable.

Technically they would clean the area...add the touch up paint....compound it down a little to soften it and then seal it over. Wont be "perfect"...but less noticeable at least.
