Seats for the "Big Boys"

Hey everyone,
I have searched this topic and no real good conclusive answers. Anyone with personal experience on wider aftermarket seats. I am 6'1 and 235 about a 38" waist and wide shoulders. Only rec'd seat so far was Sparco Evo III. Would like something with a CF or Kevlar back.
Thank!

I've been looking for the same also...

Same here. 5'10" 255 36 inch waist. I have found a sweet spot in the OEM seats, but I'd like a racing seat before I get it on the track for hard driving.

In for any rec's...

Also, I'd be careful the aftermarket seats are pricey. Try as best you can to sit in one before you purchase it.

Bride's Zeta III Type L should fit you as well.
And also Recaro Profi XL.

You also might take a look at Corbeau

Can take a look at STATUS racing seats also.
The Bride Zeta III Type L actually might be a bit tight, mostly the upper shoulder area is larger, the lower area is maybe 5mm bigger but the side bolsters do flex a little over time to conform to the driver.

I second that. Not the best made seats, but i had the Forza II wide seats and they had room to spare

Have you sat in either of these and are you an XL kinda person? I would really hate to drop a ton of cash on seats unless someone out there has set in them and can verify its not like squeezing into spandex (I dont have personal experience on that last one)......

I got the largest seats status makes in the Ring GT series; and let me tell you if I didn't lose 25lbs. they wouldn't feel as good as they do now. I am not sure how anyone could fit with the specs they recommend.

I am 5'9" and 170lbs. And I have the 38-40" waist seats. And I fit perfect, and I am a 33" waist. When I was 195 and a 36"...they where tight!

So if you think "hey I am a 39" waist, I can fit in those"....you won't!

I am doing a little thread necromancy here, but I have the same problem.

Has anyone succesfully installed a Corbeau wide seat in a 370Z? When I was at Z1, I asked about it, and they did not htink it would fit in the car.

I am 6' 6" tall, and I weigh 260. I wear 40 inch waist jeans, and the stock seat is a touch thin for me through the hips (but not bad), but it sits too high, and my helmet hits the roof all the time. I would like something bigger and lower.

Even if it is no bigger, I definitely need something lower.

Brent
