Huh, not as attractive as I thought it would be. Maybe the plastic is reflecting to much, because the chrome shine is just kind of 'meh.' Could be the angles.

Interestingly though, the top one looks to have a replacement badge for the hamburger.

Both the window etching and security are other factory Nissan Z options in Japan.

Any of our vendors carrying these JDM clear tail lights? It'll look nice with subtle smoke vinyl overlay, but I'm going to need help since I'm not good with this stuff (air bubbles galore!). Plus, I'm waiting for someone to release clear/smoked 3rd brake lights.

I'm considering it, but it is low priority compared to the headlight work that's in progress at the moment. ;)

Now see that isn't so bad. Are we sure the first one is PG or that the paint isn't different somehow? Maybe we just chalk it up to different lighting. Second one certainly looks overcast, first set more orange hue, maybe bad sunlight angle or white balance. guess more shots are the only way we're going to be able to tell.

Really surprised so many people are not digging them.

Those clear tails just don't do it for me. The red tails look great with the Platinum Graphite. Fronts of cars have clear lights... backs of cars have red lights. Anything else is just trying too hard to be different.

It's kind of bland looking, especially on an already gray car, it would probably look better on another color. I mean, how many hot rods with chrome come in any shade of gray? I'm going to go with not many. I think it just sort of throws off the color pallet of your eye with that much gray, chrome just can't pop anymore.

We got blue or red with JDM handy? Anyone?

Agree. Would look much better on other color.

With my PG, I am going to be eliminating chrome vs adding it. I want to do the headlight mod to paint the chrome a smoke mirror and do the same to the factory tails for the little chrome there is. This gets everything to the look of the wheels and door handles. Need to find a good badge that matches to replace the chrome Nissan ones.

i like it on the white. a guy i work with his wife is japanese, trying to see if she can find some for me to order straight from japan. maybe they'll be cheaper that way than american vendors being a middle man.

I like that angle shot. Hopefully we can get some confirmation in regards to pulling part tail lights. If the painted sections can be repainted in black chome, the tail lights would pwn. :) Cheaper method is overlay.

Anybody notice the Z emblem instead of the Nissan Emblem?:tup:

For a minute there I thought that Z got repainted with a dark graphite color... I wish Nissan offered that color (like the Altima Coupe and Maxima).

Yum... question left unanswered is whether anyone will be able to pop open these tail lights.

I've been looking for somthing like that, havnt been able to find it though.

where can you get an emblem like that? and ithink these tails would look good if it was smoked.. or if all the clear was smoked out and red left alone

i would so put this on if i can get my hands on it? you know how??... except i would bake them and paint the chrome matte black to match the rims!

This car is starting to look like Shania Twain (what? TELL ME that she looks like the same person in any two pictures of her) and it's all down to the angle, lighting, etc to tell what it looks like. Seriously, there's no consistency, how are we supposed to compare based on pictures alone?

Someone is just going to have to buy and drive to all our houses ;)

meh, never been a fan of clear tail lights.

personally i think the clear tail lights look cheap as hell, the stock look is so much better!

if i could get them for free? good.

but as of the looks of things, nah. i think the red looks better.
