bump for awesomeness :).....

docaam 04-10-2011 10:59 AM

just one question, because of heat here I have seen carbonfiber turning yellow at times, do you think the steering will stay the way it is? one installer told me not to get these clear coated as its because of clear coat, you might be the best person to answer.

Cant wait for the 15 spots to finish :)

NewYorkJon34 04-10-2011 01:40 PM

I think for interior bits it will not be a problem

docaam 04-10-2011 01:54 PM

Yeah but was thinking of doing steering wheel and headlights considering we have 125 deg temp 7-8 months a year

NewYorkJon34 04-10-2011 02:01 PM

The headlights would be the only thing I think would possibly fade in time.

FastPaced 04-11-2011 09:43 AM

I'm down for $450.

Cheap resin and no uv protector in the clear is what lets the cf turn yellow and chip...Ive had a hood on my car years back that i never cleared...It turned yellow in spots, and even started to crack and chip. My new hood i put on 4 years ago i clearcoated and its just as nice now the day i put it on...cheap resin is i would say one thing that makes a huge difference in quality. I dont use cheap resin. Mine has no yellow tint to it at all, like some. It even has some uv stuff in it. Then, i also add a couple coats of clear when i finish my stuff for added protection. I have stuff on my car now that i wrapped like 5 or 6 years ago and it still flawless. Basically, u get what u pay for...A little extra for me in materials = a nicer finish and longer lasting quality.

Porsche offers carbon fiber kits to its customers.....ranging from $2,000 to $9,000 for carbon fiber interior parts. :icon18: This truly is a luxury modification and most exotic automobile enthusiast will admire the tasteful interior/wheel.

FYI: Look at a Ferrari Interior, even the Enzo's..

Thanks for your reply man. What I was referring to are the JDM hoods which turns yellow like top secret and Veilside, so was a bit surprising for me as well. Maybe the sun intensity is very high in our part of the world

Cant wait the list to fill :happydance:

I would say so! Turbo man! Hey who knows maybe you will get my wheel core, so a piece of my car will be TT also =D

Carbon Fiber Element 05-04-2011 09:30 AM

Ok so I have 1 wheel here to use as a swap, and waiting on 2 more to get back to me...once I receive them I will start the process and get these going out of here...a PM will be sent out very soon to everyone on the list and within a few weeks every should be the proud owners of cf wheels...I have 2 big projects going now I want to finish up and then these wheels will get 100% of my attention.

Carbon Fiber Element 05-07-2011 08:35 PM

OK, last chance to get in this.... I did not hit the 15 people mark, but I'm am in a good mood so decided to do them still for $450 per wheel...I will soon have 3 wheels to use as swaps. Those wheels will be ready to go in no time and out on their way to their new homes...I am going away next weekend for a few days, when I return I will go to town on thwpese things and get them out of here. Until that time I will let anyone else who wants in to get a spot....I am send in PMs now to everyone on the list to get the ball rolling...

NewYorkJon34 05-07-2011 09:37 PM

Update: I'm loving the wheel bro, not many people will notice the wheel unless u point it out, it's a subtle mod that really improves the interior of the Z. http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/w...4/be88f40b.jpg

Carbon Fiber Element 05-08-2011 01:24 AM

Nice! Thanx Jon!!

NewYorkJon34 05-08-2011 07:26 PM

Thanks bro, ya to everyone on the list Tony is giving you guys a hell of a deal @ the $450 price. Just be prepared to be amazed at the quality of the wheel, seeing pics is one thing, but holding the wheel in your hands is awesome. Oh and for those wondering, I have the axxcess steering wheel control adapter and it still works perfectly with the installation of the new wheel.
