I am planning to wrap my big center gauge cover over the speedo with Alcantara and was thinking of removing it and just dropping to the guys to save on installation along with center cubby console.

I have tried a lot to take it our but seems like there are either screws or clips at the windscreen side, front comes off really easily and so the two side covers.

Anyone has any info on this, I am too scared to remove the whole panel:confused:

If you don't hear from him, I believe another member - DIGItonium removed theirs before, too. Just thought I'd toss that out there just in case. ;)

I sent him a pm will wait for a while else will contact digi, I saw his thread of changing the LEDs. Worst case will ask the installed to wrap it in Alcantara on the car as there is little room to tuck it in.

If you want to wrap the individual piece you will need to remove the entire combination meter. IIRC, there are a couple of screws holding it place before popping it off. To get to the screws, you need to remove the back cover.

Disassembly is pretty easy especially with the work that you are doing. I'm estimating 10 min. tops to get the cover off.

Reference my thread for some pictures. I had to cut it down due to space constraints.
