Cubby hole replacement

So in my old Civic SI i took the navigation dash piece and did some modifications to it (fiberglassing) to fit a screen in to look factory... is there a replacement piece besides the navigation dash that i could use to begin my process? i want to mount a 7" android tablet in there.

ideas?

No. Once you pull it out it's wide open though.

I too had the same idea. Once you pull out the cubby hole u can put everything back together...

Here's what my finished product looks like. I took my cubby to a audio shop to have it modified for the screen.

If you do this PLEEEEEASE sell me your cubby lid.
I'll hug it, and I'll pet it and I'll call it George!

I really need a replacement lid.

This was done on here in 2009.

You can buy the kit from Amplified.

@windex

Can the tablet be removed easily/quickly?

It's not a tablet in there. just a touchscreen lcd with a nettop running the OS. It would be a little tough to put a tablet in there with a charging connection. Unless you have a right angle miniusb cable and the tablet takes miniusb.

I had a shop do it, I am not that skilled.
They basically took the screen and did a mold and wrapped it in a nice material.

Here is a day time shot:

This was a test car for Baker Tuning, same audio shop did this install but slightly differently:
